This past week really flew by. A lot of things happened, some of which have given me some new perspective on life in general.
Unfortunately, the big thing that shaped the week wasn’t pleasant. I don’t want to go into details, but I’ll just say that it gave me a new outlook. I’m going to start to appreciate the time I have with loved ones even more because I don’t think we do that enough. All too often we don’t realize what we had until it’s gone. That’s the only good thing I can try and take out of that situation and I’ll leave it at that.
I also started writing our next novel. It’s going to be a vampire story, which will draw inspiration from the books and films that my wife and I have enjoyed. I usually write a thousand words a day, so I’m hoping to have the first rough draft done before summer. There’s also another rough draft gathering dust that I’ll go to work on soon as well. At times like this, I’m really happy I enjoy writing. I will confess that I hate editing though. Oh well. No pain, no gain.
I hope this week is better than last from a personal perspective, but I hope to continue the writing momentum I’ve built. As always, I’ll talk to you guys next week and I hope you check back on the blog. See you then.
