Happy Thursday, Everybody! I hope everybody is doing their best to keep us all healthy out there. Today I’d like to take a few moments to explain the Angry Star Wars Fan. It all started years ago when my brother, Eric Kaster (you may know him as The Logical Inquisitor), and I began having debates over who was more Force potent between Luke and Anakin Skywalker. For years I’ve had to listen to how Luke was the one that really restored balance to the Force, and the Angry Fan gives me a way to vent my frustrations while proving that theory wrong. And now its spiraled into this series of videos and Logical Inquisitions you’ve been seeing on our blog. The videos are made in response to articles my brother posts every Monday.
The Angry Fan is very emotional and highly irrational. He’s an extension of my personality that comes out when I watch Star Wars. He allows me to get lost in the Star Wars Universe, enabling me to feel like a young child again. I have several nieces and nephews, and I’ve noticed how they all go to great lengths to defend the characters they love on the shows or movies they enjoy. They have this passionate energy that can’t correctly be put into words, which is precisely how the Angry Fan makes me feel.
As an aspiring writer, I think its important to be able to write characters from different perspectives. My Angry Star Wars Fan videos help me tremendously in this department. I don’t honestly believe the Jedi are evil, but it makes for some entertaining content. I don’t really hate Obi-Wan, either. He’s actually one of my favorite characters if you can believe that. And who doesn’t love Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu? Boy, it’s incredible to be able to create this alternate reality where I can express all my frustrations over how Anakin got screwed-Bahahaha! I feel like my overall writing has improved dramatically over these last few weeks; I’ve had a lot of fun so far.
So, if you haven’t gotten a chance now would be a great time to visit The Express Yourself Freely Blog and check out our Star Wars category. Just remember, its meant to be a joke. Also, the Angry Fan will respond to comments, so if you’d like to join in, please feel free. All you need to do is criticize Anakin in any way to set him off. May to Force be with you fellow Star Wars Fans, the Angry Fan will return next week.
