Hello everyone and welcome to Monday Star Wars talk. Over the past few weeks, I have been discussing some of the rumors I have been hearing lately regarding the galaxy far, far away. I was going to switch it up a little today, but then I read something over the weekend that I felt demanded my attention.
Most people would probably agree that the worst thing with the Star Wars name attached to it is the 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special. It is so bad that it was never rebroadcast after the initial showing. It’s a nonsensical show with the original cast running around and not accomplishing much. Just about the only thing worthwhile was the original introduction of Boba Fett, but his appearance in Empire is just as good. In other words, it’s probably something that’s best left forgotten.
But not to Disney. No. The people at Disney are going to reboot it, using their LEGO brand to due so. It sounds just as bad as the first one, with Rey time traveling to meet everyone else in the saga. Yeah. It’s bad. And it’s slated to be released on November 17th, 2020 on Disney+.
I know the opinions of this writer mean absolutely nothing to Disney, but I am begging you to stop this. You’re already presiding over some of the most hated Star Wars content of all time. What good is rehashing a hated holiday special going to do for you? Please Disney, DON’T DO THIS!!!! Until next time….
